Ugnayan sa KaPASKOhan 2023

In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, to foster camaraderie and as a token of appreciation among the coop members, CBMPC celebrated the occasion through its Ugnayan sa KaPASKOhan 2023 on December 6, 2023 via zoom platform. It was modest and true to its simple objective of bonding together and enjoying each other’s company with Director Estela Correa, Chairperson of Membership, Education and Training Committee (METC) as Master of Ceremonies.

The virtual party with Christmas colors, red and green as the motif officially opened with the playing of the CBMPC Cooperative Hymn. A roll call by Director Correa showed an initial attendance of 47 members and staff. The biggest number of attendees reached 55. In lieu of an opening prayer to be led by METC Vice Chair Mike Dumlao, who could not connect to the zoom, the song “Christmas in Our Hearts” of Jose Mari Chan was played as a Doxology. Chairperson Rogelio Decal gave the Welcome Remarks which was followed by a video presentation, entitled “You’ve Got a Friend” highlighting that the members have got a friend in CBMPC while the cooperative has got a friend in its affiliates in view of the products and services it offers.

General Manager Lydia de Asis presented the CBMPC Accomplishment Report as of October 31, 2023 which showed, among others, a net surplus of ₱0.92M as against the year-end target of ₱1.20M. There were three mini raffles interspersed with other activities, where winners were picked at random electronically. Members and staff were classified as to “attendees” who won ₱500 each and “non-attendees” at ₱200 each. There was a total of 20 winners in the mini raffles. The Grand Raffle winners were Ms. Ma. Concepcion Caraig for 1st prize of ₱3,000; Ms. Rosalina Magat for 2nd prize of ₱2,000; and Ms. Irene Arroyo for 3rd prize of ₱1,000.

Three games were prepared by METC Vice Chair Dumlao, together with members Ms. Marian Tamayo and Elizabeth Cruz, namely: Trivia Questions, IQ Test and Show Me. In the Trivia Questions and IQ Test, the members with the first right answers as shown in the chat box were declared as winners though the participants can only win twice. In the Show Me game, the winners were those who showed first the objects being asked for. There were fifteen, seven and eight winners in the said games, respectively at prizes of ₱500 each. The members of the Board, officers, METC members, Audit Committee members and coop staff were disqualified to join in these games. Also presented was a video of animated song and dance performance of the CBMPC Board, officers and staff.

Winners of the Best Hat were Director Noemi dela Paz and Board Secretary Evangeline Somera for the female category; and Mr. Adolfo Abala and Mr. Ferdie Rodil for the male category with a prize of ₱1,000 each. Wine toasting was led by Director Leticia Lourdes Camara. The Ugnayan sa KaPASKOhan 2023 which was a day of thanksgiving and merriment for the CBMPC members, ended after a Closing Remarks delivered by Vice Chair Demetrio Opinion and Closing Prayer led by Director dela Paz.
