CBMPC Joins 2023 LBP Mindanao Alumni Reunion

In celebration of the LANDBANK’s 60th Anniversary this year, the LBP alumni of Mindanao gathered once again to hold its annual reunion, this time, in Zamboanga City. At the helm of the well-organized and fun-filled events held on August 7-8, 2023 were Ms. Dioscora Tangon and Engr. Roel Tarroza, President and Vice President, respectively of the LBP Mindanao Alumni Association, Zamboanga City Chapter.

The Anniversary/ Thanksgiving Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Fellowship Night at the Palacio Del Sur held on August 8, the exact date of LBP’s anniversary, were the highlights of the Alumni Reunion. With the theme, “Vamos a Zamboanga”, other activities consisted of the city tour, barter center shopping and Sta. Cruz Island Tour (optional).

The LBP Mindanao Alumni Reunion was attended also by the retirees from the Bank’s Head Office and other units nationwide. Some of the Manila-based CBMPC directors, committee officers and members were able to join, led by: Directors Lamelita Aquino (representing also the LANDBANK Retirees & Ex-Employees Association) and Noemi dela Paz; Membership , Education and Training Committee (METC) Vice Chair Miguel Dumlao; METC Members Elizabeth Cruz and Marian Tamayo; Credit Committee Member Ray Almario (another representative of the LANDBANK Retirees & Ex-Employees Association); Election Committee Member Lourdes Agustin and Audit Committee Vice Chair Vivian Bedrijo.

As the 1st Regional Head of Western Mindanao, METC VC Dumlao delivered a short message during the Fellowship Night wherein he congratulated the 27 attendees from Davao, Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro clusters for being CBMPC members. He then gave the attendees a brief information about the coop and after which, he joined the retirees from Basilan and Pagadian whom he convinced and gave their commitments to apply as members in the coop. Meanwhile, METC Members Cruz and Tamayo distributed the share capital certificates of coop members who were present at that time. They also handed out CBMPC flyers on the coop products/services/ programs; application forms for membership in the coop and Project Angel; and latest issue of SHARE newsletter. Overall, CBMPC’s presence proves positive as there are several Mindanao alumni/attendees who are interested to join the coop.
