Alexandra Danielle C. Chua, a member of CBMPC since February 2021, won the gold medal in the 7th International Built Environment Undergraduate Research Competition (BEURC) held at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last December 2022. Her research,” A Study of Rating Efficiency of Bio-Based Carbon Capturing Materials for Urban Architecture in the Philippines” won in the Building and Construction category.

Alex, as she is fondly called, graduated in April 2023 with a degree of BS Architecture at Mapua School of Architecture, Industrial Design and Built Environment. She was the Internal Vice President in the 2023 Graduating Class. Alex is the daughter of Dr. Pia Teresa Camara-Chua, also a CBMPC member since 2020; and the granddaughter of CBMPC Director Leticia Lourdes Camara.
