Practical Tips on Urban Agriculture

1. Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ) – for spraying or watering vegetable and flowering plants

Ingredients: 2 kilograms of sweet potato tops, kangkong tops, alogbati tops (sliced finely); 1 kilogram molasses (available in farm supply store)

Procedure:

1. Mix ingredients in clean plastic container
2. cover with black plastic sheet and tie tightly
3. Place in dark place for 7 days
4. Strain and place in bottle

Preparation of Spraying/Watering Solution
1. Mix 2 tbsps. of Fermented Plant Juice in 1 liter purified water.
(For spraying,use 1 liter sized empty alcohol bottle)

Time & Frequency of Foliar spraying: Before sunrise or late afternoon (2x per week)
2. Fish Amino Acid (FAA) -for branching

Ingredients: 1 kilogram of fish gills, fish bone & fish intestines; 1 kilogram molasses

Procedure: 1. Mix ingredients in clean container
2. Follow next procedures of FPJ

Preparation of Spraying Solution
1. Mix 2 tbsps of FAA in 1 liter purified water

Time & Frequency of Spraying (before sunrise or late afternoon – 2x per week)
