ETIQA Philippines as the CBMPC’s HMO Provider for Another Year

On June 28, 2021, the CBMPC Board approved the renewal of the ETIQA Life and General Assurance Philippines, Inc. or ETIQA Philippines as the Coop’s Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) provider for another year or for the period August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022. Five other HMO service providers have been evaluated by the coop, namely: Carehealth, EastWest Medicard, HC&D, Medicard and Medocare.

ETIQA formerly AsianLife & General Assurance Corporation is a Composite Insurance Company majority owned by ETIQA International Holdings (EIHSB), Malaysia, an investment holding company of Malaysia Banking Berhad (MayBank). ETIQA’s headquarters is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with regional presence in Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Cambodia. In the Philippines, ETIQA has been in the insurance business for over 40 years. It has built a solid reputation for fast, prompt and reliable service supported by over 1,400 accredited hospitals and clinics nationwide, with 25,000 doctors, and 24/7 in-house call center.

This is the 2nd year that the coop engaged the services of ETIQA Philippines as its HMO provider and so far, it has a satisfactory and dependable service record. Covid 19 virus infection is covered by ETIQA.

ETIQA offers reasonable and affordable annual premium rate for maximum benefit limit (MBL) of P100,000 for principal members aged 18-65 years old. This is the MBL category where majority of our members enroll. Members of the coop are given discounted premium rates.
