Dir. Decal Gets Another Term as CBMPC’s Board Chair; Dir. Opinion as Vice Chair

During the combined Organizational and Board of Directors’ Meeting held on September 30, 2022, Directors Rogelio G. Decal and Demetrio R. Opinion have been elected as the new Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the CBMPC Board, respectively. On the other hand, the coop officers appointed in the said event were Ms. Melody M. de Guzman as Secretary and Ma. Regina Aragon as Treasurer. Ms. Lydia R. de Asis has been reappointed as the General Manager.

With the General Assembly’s approval of the amendments in the Election Rules and Regulations and By-Laws, the new sets of Board of Directors, Election Committee and Audit Committee were elected during the 16th Annual Regular General Assembly Meeting of CBMPC.

The first seven candidates with the higher number of votes were considered as the new members of the CBMPC Board, namely: Noemi P. dela Paz, Rogelio G. Decal, Estela E. Correa, Demetrio R. Opinion, Lamelita G. Aquino, Leticia Lourdes A. Camara and Pablito M. Villegas.

Based on the Amended By-laws, the first four (4) garnering the higher number of votes shall serve for a term of two years while the last three shall serve for a period of one (1) year. Of the seven (7) vacant seats, nine (9) members filed their Certificates of Candidacy for the Board of Directors.

Moreover, Ms. Neriza B. Laparan and Ms. Lourdes V. Agustin were elected as two (2) out of the three (3) members of the Election Committee.

All the candidates met the requirements in accordance with the new Election Rules and Regulations. In the presence of the ELECOM Chairperson Antoniette F. Sarausa, the votes were canvassed and the winning candidates were officially proclaimed.

Since there were only two (2) candidates for the Election Committee and no candidates for the Audit Committee, the General Assembly approved the motion of Mr. Cesar Usigan to authorize the Board to appoint one (1) additional member for the Election Committee and three (3) members for the Audit Committee.
