CBMPC Conducts Seminar for New Sets of Committee Members, Editorial Board and Oversight Directors

The Membership, Education and Training Committee chaired by Director Estela Correa, spearheaded the conduct of a Pre-Membership Seminar (PMES) and an Orientation Training/ Seminar held via zoom on May 6, 2023 for the newly elected/appointed and re-elected/re-appointed members of the various committees and editorial board together with the oversight directors.

Said activity included a video presentation on PMES and a slide presentation on the functions and responsibilities of committee/editorial board members.

GM Lydia De Asis presented the functions and responsibilities of the different committees and editorial board of the coop while Chair Rogelio Decal explained the functions and responsibilities of the designated oversight directors for selected committees.

Other topics taken up were the benefits of being a member of CBMPC. As discussed, a CBMPC member can have access or can avail of the different products/services/ programs of the coop, namely:

1. Deposits (Savings, Time, Special Time)
2. Loan facilities
3. Tax-exemption on Interest income earned on deposits
4. Services of an HMO Provider
5. CBMPC Bonds
6. Ticketing services for PAL (Domestic flights only)
7. Brokering services for LSERV Shares
8. Mutual Development Fund or the Project Angel
9. Scholarship Program
10. Dividend on share capital investment
