ACPC Approves CBMPC’s Application as Conduit for Zero Interest Loans for Members

The coop’s application for accreditation as one of the Partner Lending Conduits (PLCs) of the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture has been approved for an initial amount of P10.0M.

This is an interest-free and collateral-free lending program of ACPC for re-lending to the coop’s identified members who are considered as Micro & Small Enterprises, Small Farmers & Fisherfolk and Agripreneurs. With the accreditation of CBMPC as one of the PLCs, the following credit programs will be made available to our members:

• Kapital Access for Young Agripreneurs (KAYA)
• Expanded Survival and Recovery Assistance (SURE Aid) Project
• Agri-Negosyo (ANYO)

The detailed description and loan features of the afore-cited credit programs were presented in tabular form on page 3 of the 2nd quarter issue of this SHARE newsletter (Vol. II, No. 2 June, 2022). The Implementing Guidelines of this loan facility were approved by the CBMPC Board on March 20, 2023.

CBMPC is awaiting the approval by the Development Bank of the Philippines for the opening of an account for said facility. In the meantime, members who are interested in availing of these interest-free and collateral-free loans should be ready with their proposed projects/businesses. The Coop also enjoins its members to encourage and motivate our young members (children of our retirees) to become successful agripreneurs in the future.
