CBMPC Joins 2025 LBP Mindanao Alumni Reunion

The LBP Alumni in Mindanao gathered once again for their annual reunion and to celebrate LANDBANK’s 62nd Anniversary in the vibrant city of Davao, with Region XI as this year’s host. The well-organized and fun-filled two-day event held on August 7–8, 2025, was spearheaded by the Bank’s former SVP Camilo Leyba, President of the LBP Mindanao Alumni Association, Davao City Chapter and former SVP/ Mindanao Branches Group Head Delia Ladao.

With the theme: “ Riding the Waves of Memories and Friendships”, the festivities kicked off on August 7 with a welcome tour and dinner for the alumni attendees at Discovery Samal Resort. On August 8, which coincided with LBP’s Anniversary Day, the celebration began with a thanksgiving mass at the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague in Matina, Davao City.

The day’s itinerary also featured:

– Tour of the 8-kilometer Davao City Coastal Road and Davao Global Township

– Buffet lunch at Probinsya Restaurant (Matina)

– Visit to the Davao Museum

– Grand event night with a Hawaiian/Boho- inspired ambiance at Waterfront Insular Hotel

The grand event night was graced by prominent guests, including former LBP President Alex Buenaventura, former SVP Iluminada L. E. Cabigas, LBP Alumni Association President and former VP Reno Velasco, as well as several retirees/ CBMPC members from the head office led by former EVPs/ Sector Heads Joselito Gutierrez and Edward John Reyes; former SVP Daisy Macalino; former SVP Anna Bautista; and CBMPC Director/former FVP Noemi dela Paz, among others.

In a heartfelt gesture, the Host Region (Davao City Chapter) distributed Financial Medical Assistance to six LBP retirees from Regions 9, 10, 11, Cotabato, Socsargen, and Caraga—beneficiaries who are currently undergoing medical treatment and were unable to attend the gathering.

Donations were also extended to two charitable institutions, namely:

• Catanihan Foundation – Advocating a feeding program for Grade 1 students and providing housing for less fortunate families in Catalunan Grande; and

• Balay Dangupan – Offering shelter and legal assistance to victims of sexual abuse among teenagers.

The celebration concluded with a virtual inspirational message from LBP President Lynette V. Ortiz,capping off two days of camaraderie, charity, and nostalgia for the alumni community.
