CBMPC Floats Two Series of CBMPC Bonds IV

The Countryside Builders Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CBMPC) recently floated two series of CBMPC Bonds in the aggregate principal amount of P5M comprised of Series IV-B1 with a term of one and half (1 ½) years due on November 30, 2025 and Series IV-B2 with a term of one and a half (1 ½) years due on February 1, 2026.

The fixed-rate bonds constitute the direct, unconditional, secured and general obligations of the issuer. The proceeds are intended to fund the lending activities and various projects of CBMPC; and provide medium term investment opportunities to its members.

The offer period for Series IV-B1 bonds started on May 1, 2024 and were fully subscribed by six members. The features of this series are as follows:

For the Series IV-B2 bonds, the offer period started on June 28, 2024 until August 1, 2024 with payment date upon subscription or until August 1, 2024. The features of this bond series are as follows:

The Bond is not covered by PDIC. CBMPC assigns its Las Piñas property and investment in LSERV Corporation as security to the bonds issued. The Bonds shall be held until maturity but may be allowed to be transferred to another member and can be sold at the secondary market, at the holders’ initiative.

CBMPC reserves the right to pre-terminate the bond in the event the Las Piñas property is sold prior to the maturity dates of the bond. There shall be no pre-termination penalty on the part of CBMPC & it shall pay the interest stipulated at 4% up to date of pre-termination by CBMPC. The investors however do not have the right of pre- termination.

The bond is eligible as a collateral to any CBMPC loan products and the bondholders can borrow up to a maximum of 90% of the face value of their bonds.
