CBMPC Holds Holiday Outreach Activities

In line with its objective of sharing the cooperative’s blessings to the less fortunate members of the community in time for the Christmas holiday, CBMPC made donations in cash and in kind.

By representation of GM Lydia de Asis, CBMPC donated to the Sta. Maria Goretti Parish (SMGP) P40,000 for its Feeding Program to the street dwellers in three barangays (Ducepec, Nieto and Tangue) in their community. Prior to this, P10,000 was given for the SMGP Scholarship Program.

The funds used in these Outreach Programs were drawn from CBMPC’s Community Development Fund which was set up pursuant to the “Guidelines Governing the Allocation and Utilization of the Community Development Fund (CDF)” issued by the Cooperative Development Authority per its Memorandum Circular NO. 2019-11, Series of 2019. As stated in this Memo Circular, the amount to be allocated for the CDF shall not be less than three per centum (3%) of the net surplus which shall be fixed in the by-laws. Provided, however, that the total amount allocated for the CDF and optional fund shall not exceed ten per centum (10%) of the net surplus. Further, the CDF shall be used for projects or activities that will benefit the community within the area of operation of the cooperative. The SMGP is located at the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center where CBMPC holds office.
