Preparation of Home-made Organic Fertilizer

Ingredients:
Vegetable scraps, fruit peelings, egg shells and rice water
Procedure:
- Chop the scraps on a daily basis.
- Place the chopped/crushed ingredients in a 2 – 3 liters plastic container with cover.
- Pour rice water in the container also on a daily basis.
- Leave the filled container for a week to decompose.
Application:
- Dig a 6-inch canal around the plant 1 foot away from the stem.
- Apply the decomposed ingredients,including the liquid component in the canal.
- Cover with the soil from the digging.
- Water the plant daily (except on a rainy day) to maintain the decomposition and root absorption of the naturally-extracted plant nutrients.
