CBMPC Inks MOU with Metropolitan Medical Center

CBMPC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with United Doctors Service Corporation, owner and operator of the Metropolitan Medical Center (formerly Metropolitan Hospital).

Under the said MOU, the directors, officers and members of CBMPC can avail of the medical and hospitalization services of the Metropolitan Medical Center without requiring the usual deposit, subject to certain procedures agreed both by the Coop and Metropolitan Medical Center or the Hospital. This arrangement also extends to their qualified dependents.

The MOU provides that the CBMPC members and their qualified dependents shall present a Letter of Authorization and a valid government-issued ID before any procedure, treatment or hospitalization and/or confinement is made.

In cases of emergencies, the required documents may be submitted within the next 24 hours or on the next working day following a weekend or a holiday. Failure to comply with the deadline, the Hospital shall require members to pay the required hospital deposit.

The members shall also be required to submit to the Hospital all pertinent documents like PhilHealth papers, EC Medical Reimbursement Form during the period of their confinement or before discharge.

The Hospital will require them to pay the total hospital bill should the members fail to submit the documents on time.

The MOU also provides that members and their dependents shall be given a 15% privilege discount on net hospital bill (net of PhilHealth and credit memos) upon full payment of account in cash or in credit card on discharge date. However, this privilege discount shall not be given in cases when they have already availed of the Senior Citizen Discount, Disability Discounts or any other special discounts/promo packages.

This agreement with the Hospital ensures the CBMPC members and their dependents of qualified and adequate medical facilities and services. This will also ease their burden of sourcing the required hospital deposits particularly in cases of emergencies.
