CBMPC Opens Scholarship Program

The CBMPC Board has approved a scholarship program as part of its continuing program to extend assistance to its members. The scholarship program aims to provide scholarship grants to deserving children or grandchildren of existing regular members of CBMPC. The program is open
to high school senior graduates with an average grade of at least 80%.

The program shall cover the actual cost of tuition and miscellaneous fees charged by the school, but not to exceed P100,000.00. The scholar shall enroll in a four-year course on Cooperatives, Agriculture-related or Entrepreneurship in any state or private university/college. After graduation, the
scholar shall serve CBMPC with pay for at least two years. In case the scholar fails to finish the course for whatever reason, except illness, the amount spent by the coop shall be converted to a loan of the concerned coop member.

The scholarship program shall be administered by the Membership, Education and Training Committee (METC) chaired by Dir. Estela E. Correa. In line
with this, Dir. Correa issued the following schedule:

• January 1 up to Feb. 28, 2022 – METC shall start accepting applications for scholarship.
• March 1 up to April 30, 2022 – Screening and interview of applicants.
• CBMPC Board meeting in May, 2022 – Presentation of the selected applicant to the Board.
• Start of school year 2022 – Implementation of the scholarship program.
